Shanda Minson, Owner/Administrator
Shanda is a Medicare Accountant and has been involved with the home health sector for the last 19 years. She currently has a consulting firm that consults with other home health agencies on rules and regulations. She also has a great passion for smooth transitions for patients as they move between facilities and has acted on that passion by chairing the community action group in Washington County called Community Care Transitions Team. As a result of this board position she has spoken at several engagements regarding the work completed in this group. Shanda also appeared in the commercial after receiving the award from the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality.
Recently, she has developed a greater passion for transitions after experiencing the home health/hospice care as a family member of a patient. It was a great learning experience that has helped her relate more to what the patient and their families go through when they are under our service.
She is aspiring for a state public office position to have a platform where she can discuss what is going right in health care. Good transitions between facilities is possible!
She is blessed with having an incredible staff to lead at SHH, and has a passion for being a great leader and trying to inspire the team to be better today than they were yesterday. She truly believes that learning and growing every day is a requirement not an option.
Shanda has two teenagers and two dogs that keep her very busy. She enjoys crafting, spending time with her family and OKC Thunder Basketball. One of her favorite quotes is “If you think you can do a thing or think you can’t do a thing, you’re right.” Henry Ford.
Angela Bussell, Administrative Manager
“One small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.” Unknown
In high school Angela was voted the Most Dependable and that character trait has followed her throughout both her personal life and professional career. She wanted to live in a world where there really is peace and no cell phones stuck to your hip.
As an administrative manager, she has been applauded for her loyalty and dependability throughout all departments. She handles a multitude of duties (Other duties as assigned is actually on her job description) and is the ultimate trainer on how to be the greatest support staff you can be for your clinicians.
She has her hands full when she is at home with her five children ranging from 1 to 18. When she’s not running reports or billing you can find her painting late into the night, finding great deals at flea markets or camping with her family.
Dana Clanton, LPN, ADON
Dana received her nursing license from TCC in 2000. Her experience ranges from Labor and Delivery, Med-Surg to Geriatrics. After moving back to her hometown in 2006 Dana was working as a LPN doing private sitting when Linda arrived to do an assessment on a patient and asked her what her future plans were….8 years later Dana is still with Shanadoa. Dana is very passionate about helping others and has spent over 15 years doing this. She is incredibly organized and detailed which makes her a great person to keep the visiting nurses in line.
Dana is married with a total of 9 children from his, hers, nieces, nephews and any other child that needs a home. When she isn’t working she is with her family.
Jamie Ryerson, RN, DON
Jamie’s journey in medicine began in 1993 following the loss of a child. An amazing nurse made a lasting impression on her life. By the summer of 1994 she enrolled in her first college classes and applied to nursing school. After graduation, she spent 2 years working in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, but something was missing. She went into medicine to make a difference in people’s lives. Then late in 1999 she was offered a job in public health. She loved this ancient field of medicine. She spent 13 years in public health and loved every day of it.
In 2012 her life changed again when she moved to Oklahoma. She found a classified ad for a job at a company that had the same name as one of my favorite movies. Hmmmm, destiny? That is where her journey in home health began. She found that home health is the perfect combination of the skills and knowledge she learned in CICU and the compassion she learned in public health. Today she is proud to say she is a home health nurse and part of the Shanadoa Home Health family.
